Library

The Library of the Museum of Science and Technology is a specialized scientific and technological library of the museum type. It gathers, keeps, processes and lends out to readers museum editions, significant  new, domestic and foreign books and magazines from popular science and technology. It also possesses items from other fields such as the history of science, technology, industry and museology.

During the formation of the Museum Library, appropriate scientific and professional literature was acquired. In that time most of the existing collection of books and magazines were gathered. The library collection is comprised of part of the library of the disbanded Yugoslav Center for Technology and Scientific Documentation, donations from the libraries of the Mihailo Pupin Institute, the Institute of Documentation of SASA, the Astronomy and Numerical Institute of SASA, the Nikola Tesla society, as well as smaller individual donations.

The Library established new premises in 1996 in the building of SASA, with entrance from Jakšićeva Street. In April 1996, the Reading Room for Scientific-Popular Literature was opened. In order to make available more complete information from various fields, access to the book collection is free.
